There’s something undeniably satisfying about perfectly cooked wings, crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and loaded with bold flavor. These Air Fryer Wings are a game-changer if you want all that deliciousness without deep-frying. Using an air fryer gives you wings that are golden and crisp, with the convenience of minimal cleanup and far less oil than traditional frying. I have this Philips Air Fryer and it’s held up great over the last few years.
Whether you’re making them for a weeknight dinner, game day spread, or casual gathering, these wings deliver that irresistible combination of crunch and tender meat. With just the right seasoning and an air fryer that does the heavy lifting, you’ll wonder why you ever cooked wings any other way.
What makes this recipe truly stand out is its simplicity yet the end result feels special enough for guests or family alike. Pair them with your favorite dipping sauces or toss them in buffalo or chili garlic sauce for an even bolder flavor profile.

Few Important Tips
- Pat the Wings Dry. Removing excess moisture is the first step toward maximum crispiness. Pat each wing dry with a paper towel before seasoning.
- Don’t Overcrowd the Basket. Arrange the wings in a single layer with some space between each piece. Overcrowding prevents airflow and reduces crispiness.
- Flip Halfway Through. Turning the wings halfway ensures even browning on all sides and helps them cook uniformly.
- Use a Little Oil. A light coating of oil helps the seasoning stick and enhances the final golden crisp texture without deep-frying.
- Toss in Sauce After Cooking. For the crunchiest exterior, cook the wings first and then toss them in your sauce of choice right before serving.
Can I make these air fryer wings ahead of time?
Yes! You can season and air fry the wings ahead, then reheat them in the air fryer for a few minutes to refresh the crispiness. Store the cooked wings in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
What sauces pair best with air fryer wings?
These wings are incredibly versatile. Classic buffalo sauce, chili garlic sauce, sweet chili glaze, garlic parmesan, and honey-soy glaze all pair beautifully. You can also serve them with my Avocado Chutney or my Cilantro Jalapeño Sauce, or a simple lemon-garlic aioli.
