This blog post is a paid partnership with Florida Orange Juice, but as always, all opinions are my own.

We are celebrating National OJ Day today and I figured it was the perfect opportunity to talk to you all about how I make time and prioritize a Florida OJ break in my day! I talk often about the difficulties of motherhood. Life with a toddler means you are constantly pulled in a million different directions. It’s a blessing of course, but it leaves very little time for oneself. I, like many toddler moms, don’t have the luxury of time and so I’ve learned to take care of myself by finding little moments to refresh and rejuvenate my energy.

Our days usually start quite early and end quite late so one of my favorite things to do is plan a little afternoon break for myself. Obviously, I’m a foodie so I like to treat myself to something that tastes delicious but is also nourishing and giving to my body. Often, I’ll opt for a glass of Florida Orange Juice for its many benefits like a little boost of B1! I recently learned that thiamin, or vitamin B1, is an essential nutrient our bodies need to turn food into energy which makes it a vital player in energy metabolism. Great nutrient intake by simply drinking Florida Orange Juice – goodbye coffee! An 8-ounce serving (for adults) of 100% OJ is a good source of thiamin, and also a good source of potassium and folate.

Incorporating a little exercise and movement into my day has also been an essential mood booster and pick me up. Mostly, it’s made me focus on staying hydrated! Truthfully, when I’m hydrated, I feel like I have less brain fog and overall so much more energy to keep up with my toddler who is always on the move. Florida Orange Juice is a yummy and refreshing source of hydration alongside my intake of water. It naturally contains several electrolytes including potassium and calcium (in fortified juices) and magnesium in smaller amounts, to aid fluid balance! Additionally, 8 ounces of 100% OJ is an excellent source of vitamin C and has vitamin B6. I am sure most of you know that vitamin C is beneficial in supporting our complex immune systems, but did you know that vitamin B6 helps the body make antibodies to help fight disease and assists in converting food into energy…HELLOOOO HYDRATION AND METABOLISM!

Moreover, as a busy mom I have zero time to get sick or be unwell so I take my health very seriously and I feel so good knowing that Florida Orange Juice provides key nutrients that can help support a strong immune system. Growing up my mom always reached for at home remedies when any one was sick and now that I am a mom, I find myself doing the same thing! I’m all for modern medicine but I think there is so much power in the foods we eat and what we put into our body. I love taking a glass of Florida Orange Juice and grating in some ginger, turmeric, and a pinch of black pepper to really elevate its benefits as well. This has been something my mom always did for me growing up so Shaan also enjoys it. Since he’s been back in school this year, I’m constantly worried about him bringing home germs, so I’m here for anything that boosts the entire family’s immune system. Another game changer in Florida Orange Juice is that an 8-ounce glass of fortified juice provides 15% of the Daily Value of vitamin D! Vitamin D plays an important role in regulating our immune responses plus it helps immune cells fight off bacteria and viruses that get into the body!

Let’s also not forget that taking a little Florida OJ Break can do wonders for your skin as well. Of course, it’s very hydrating and everyone knows it has vitamin C, but did you know that it has carotenoids? Carotenoids are colorful plant pigments that may help maintain a youthful glow. Considering I don’t get much time to hit up the spa for my usual facials anymore, I’m totally here for something that will help keep this mama’s skin looking nice! The vitamin C in Florida Orange Juice also helps promote the production of collagen which is a major player in strengthening the elasticity of skin, too! Remember all this the next time you have a delicious glass, lol!

Making time for these changes and choices in my routine has not at all been easy, but it truly has helped me be the best version of myself. I know many of you often feel “in a rut” or exhausted by parenting so I encourage you to also make little pockets of time for yourself. When I really leaned into fueling my body with good things like Florida OJ, the positive changes had an incredible domino effect on the rest of my day. While it’s hard to prioritize yourself, I think we can all agree that it is vital to our sanity as busy moms <3.

To note, the serving size of Florida Orange Juice for children aged 1-6 is 4-6 ounces following the 100% fruit juice limits/guidelines set by the American Academy of Pediatrics.

I would love to hear more on how you create little pockets of time in your day for yourself!
